Two pairs are enough for a week on the trail if you wash one each night, and that arithmetic is the whole case for the Give-N-Go 2.0. We washed ours in a sink, rolled them in a towel, and hung them off a pack; they were dry by morning. That single property changes how you pack, because underwear stops being the thing you ration and becomes the thing you rotate.
The full cut is the version to buy for hiking. There's more fabric across the seat, the waistband sits high enough to stay put under a loaded hip belt instead of folding beneath it, and the knit is smooth enough that it doesn't bunch when you're stepping up onto rocks. In heat it stayed comfortable rather than clammy, which is more than we can say for the cotton pairs we started the season with.
We paid close attention to the leg opening, because that's where hiking underwear usually gives itself away: ours sat flat against the thigh rather than creeping up with each step. After a long season of washing, the elastic still snaps back and there's no pilling where the gusset meets the seam. That resilience is why we stopped rotating other pairs in.
Pros
- Dries overnight after a sink wash
- Full cut sits flat under a hip belt
- Smooth knit resists bunching and pilling
- Elastic holds up through repeated washing
Cons
- Highest cost per pair in this group
For multi-day hikes, this is the pair we hand people: it air-dries overnight, wicks instead of clinging, and stays put under a hip belt.
